117 Animals in Mampang Prapatan Receive Rabies Vaccination

As many as 117 animals in Mampang Prapatan Urban Village, Mampang Prapatan Sub-district, South Jakarta, received rabies vaccinations.

Mampang Prapatan Sub-district Maritime, Livestock and Food Security (KPKP) Executing Unit Head, Achmad Basuki expressed today's vaccination which targets cats, dogs, weasels, and monkeys was aimed at giving health to animals and their owners.

"It is held in the courtyard of the Mampang Prapatan Urban Village office," he expressed, Friday (9/13).

He detailed that 116 cats and one dog received rabies vaccination in the free rabies vaccination service which lasts for three hours.

"Before we vaccinate them with rabies, we check their health, from their age to whether the animal is pregnant or not," he explained.

He hoped that it would be a routine agenda that aims to prevent rabies virus in humans so that Jakarta remains free from rabies.

"The next is in Prapatan Mampang Urban Village on September 17, 2024, precisely at Nuri Posyandu and Ramli RPTRA on September 19, 2024," he explained.

The vaccination above received appreciation from a cat owner, Ayu (27) who participated in the vaccination.

"Hopefully, it can also be a routine agenda here," she hoped.
